clevortrevor · 4 years agoi expect he was chosen because he won't last long. after John Paul, there was some pressure to get someone ultra conservative. in a few years, when Benedict or whatever this dudes name is gonna be dies, the pendulum will be ready to swing in the other direction. Not a bad bit of politics, to my mind.
